Game Jam Next 2025

On Saturday, January 25th, the Dalhousie University Computer Science outreach team will be hosting Global Game Jam NEXT 2025! This is a world-wide game creation challenge where students ages 12 to 17 come together to create their own games in a limited amount of time. The event will include an opening presentation, lunch, and the chance to play the games that everyone creates. Mentors and staff will be on-site to help with any questions you might have or if you want to learn something new. You can work with a team or as an individual to create a digital game, or a physical game! Board games, card games, anything you can think of. A limited number of laptops will be available, but please feel free to bring your own device if you’d like.

If you’re interested in joining us for a day of game creation and creativity, please register over on our Eventbrite page. Please only register if you plan on joining us, as we have a limited number of tickets available. There is no cost to join the event. Please note that all participants will need to have a parent or guardian sign a permission slip upon arrival.
