FCS Orientation: CODEchella

A music-festival-themed welcome experience designed to build belonging, confidence, and readiness for first-year Computer Science students.
CODEchella 2026 is intentionally structured as a progressive, five-day journey that supports students’ transition into university life. Each day builds on the last—moving from connection → navigation → academic readiness → future pathways → personal authenticity and belonging—while reinforcing a culture that is inclusive, supportive, and accepting.
Across all five days, CODEchella 2026 aims to cultivate a student experience that is:
- Inclusive and equitable — welcoming all identities, experiences, and skill levels
- Supportive and community-driven — encouraging students to lean on one another
- Accepting — normalizing learning, failure, and continuous development
- Empowering — equipping students with the confidence and tools to navigate university and beyond
