Reconnect with the Faculty of Computer Science through a weekend of social events, faculty showcases, networking opportunities, and convocation celebrations alongside fellow alumni, new graduates, and faculty members.
The weekend is intentionally designed with plenty of free time between events, giving attendees the opportunity to revisit their favourite Halifax spots, reconnect with friends, and enjoy the city during one of the best times of year. Whether you’re in Halifax, or thinking about making a nostalgic trip back or reunite with old friends, this is the weekend to plan around. Reconnect with former classmates, society members, and student leaders from across the Faculty of Computer Science. Dedicated spaces will be set up for past and present societies in a casual social atmosphere with food, drinks, and networking.
Research & Teaching Showcase & Mixer

Join Srini Sampalli, Frank Rudzicz, and Rina Wehbe for a series of short talks highlighting current research, teaching innovation, and emerging topics in computer science. The event concludes with an open networking mixer for alumni and faculty where you can expect to see all your favorite profs and catch-up on what’s new at FCS!
Career Growth Workshop & Networking

A practical workshop focused on career planning, portfolio development, and professional growth for alumni in stable roles or starting think about their next step in their career. Includes structured networking and sessions led by Career Development Manager, Kewoba Carter.
The Last Chapter & Next Volumer: Celebrating Dean Andrew Rau-Chaplin

Join alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends of the Faculty of Computer Science as we recognize the remarkable leadership and impact of Dean Andrew Rau-Chaplin, the longest-serving Dean in Faculty history.
This special celebration will reflect on the growth, innovation, and community built during his time as Dean while also recognizing the exciting next chapter ahead. Through stories, memories, and reconnecting with the people who helped shape the Faculty alongside him, the event will honour both an incredible era and the lasting legacy it leaves behind.
