Introducing Build It! a new ShiftKey Academy initiative designed to help you turn ideas into real projects. Have a side project you’ve been meaning to start? Already building something and want support? Not sure what to create yet? Build It! is a low-pressure, mentor-supported program focused on helping you make progress, learn by doing, and build something you’re proud of.

What you’ll get:

• $150 participant support funding for working on your project
• Dedicated mentor support from ShiftKey staff and student mentors
• Workshops on pitching your project, talking about it in interviews, and showcasing your work
• A collaborative, beginner-friendly environment where progress matters more than perfection

6:00–8:00 PM

Room 1201, Mona Campbell Building No finish line required — this is about experimenting, creating, and learning alongside others. The program wraps up with a showcase event where participants share how far they got, connect with peers, and celebrate what they built.

Whether it’s an app, game, AI tool, website, hardware idea, or something completely different — Build It! is your chance to start building.
