DESCRIPTION:To help people prepare for the upcoming Global Game Jam 2024\, ShiftKey Labs\, HCI4Good and several partners are hosting workshops covering some key topics. These workshops will be available to everyone registered for the Global Game Jam. There is no need to register for the workshops individually\, although attendance will be taken. \nIntro to Godot Quickstart with Brent Crane\nJanuary 23\, 2024\n7:00PM-8:00PM\nHybrid; Room 143 of the Goldberg Computer Science Building (Teams link will be made available to participants) \nWe’ll be walking through the basics of getting started with the Godot game engine. From download and installation\, creating your first project and scenes\, to some simple game mechanics. We will be exploring the interface and talking about the possibilities of the robust node-based structure of Godot.
